In Sotesa we have done some installations that, of its particular relevance, deserve a specific mention:
 

Luther King School

1. Virtualization Innovative project for the Luther King’s schools: it consists of a computer system based on two powerful CPD interconnected with blade virtualized servers, storage array of 60 TB, with over 1.000 remote desktops (VDI) and recurring nearly 4.000 potential users divided into two schools of La Laguna and San Miguel de Abona. It is a pioneering project in Spain and Europe and therefore the implementation of it has been a leader in the Canary Islands and it places Luther King centers at the forefront of the educational community in our archipelago.
   This project was made possible thanks to the partnership and technology transfer of HP, a worldwide premier manufacturer; Sotesa, the specialized local partner; and the Luther King School, a client with an educational and organizational project quite innovative.
2. Implementation of an audiovisual system for the company Ecoenergética, a professional Video Wall with nine NEC screens, with a Polycomintegrated system of professional conference room and a client-server computer system with Apple Macintosh computers. The project also includes the development of an application for the management, control and formalization of offers to supply energy to customers.
3. Wireless Access Control System (RFID) with proximity technology to the Real Club Nautico de Tenerife, an exclusive WiFi network system to external access control, all seamlessly integrated with the computer system and with a member’s general database. The system allows the production of more than 15.000 personalized cards with different access profiles for members, relatives or other visitors.
4. Development of a specific and customized application of the project management for the study of Techne Engineering and Architecture. It involves the management and monitoring of the different phases of a project by several users simultaneously.
5. Development of a specific and customized application of a stock property management for the Quintercon building company. It provides the possibility to have all the cadastral and notarial information about the property; the current situation, for sale or rent; pricing; deadlines and CPI updating, among other options.
6. Installation of a computer system for a large hotel chain established in the Canary Islands, which includes the renovation of its entire hardware infrastructure, electronic network and hotel and reservations management system, in partnership with another leading Canarian company.

Punto de información turística – Aeropuerto Tenerife Norte

 
SOTESA, INFORMATICA Y NUEVAS TECNOLOGIAS, responsable y coordinador de este proyecto, ha seleccionado a los mejores fabricantes del mundo, que unidos a los mejores proveedores e instaladores de esta tierra, da como resultado implementar una solución perfecta y un equipo completamente autónomo, a través del cual los visitantes pueden realizar de manera sencilla y ágil la compra de entradas para los diferentes Museos y Centros,
 
y folletos explicativos de los recintos que el Ayuntamiento de La Laguna considere.
 
Este stand, dotado de un ‘vídeo wall’ para mostrar contenidos audiovisuales en máxima calidad, también cuenta con una pantalla táctil interactiva de 32 pulgadas para visualizar previamente algunos de los contenidos que, posteriormente, se podrán imprimir en alta resolución, y que además se encuentra en una posición accesible para personas discapacitadas.
 
Este espacio cuenta en su interior con una impresora que permite imprimir sus propios mapas con la información que más interese al turista y en un muy breve espacio de tiempo, evitando el inconveniente de almacenar catálogos, hacer grandes tiradas de mapas o pérdida de material obsoleto que incrementan las partidas presupuestarias.
 
Los folletos que se retiren en este punto de información se diseñarán digitalmente en el acto, en el idioma que sea y con la posibilidad de modificar sus contenidos sin gasto alguno, además de promocionar en todo momento aquello que más interese al municipio, ya sean eventos o tradiciones.
 
Por eso, este nuevo Punto de Información del Ayuntamiento de San Cristóbal de La Laguna que ahora se inaugura es absolutamente pionero, y un referente a nivel nacional en innovación tecnológica, visualización e impresión de contenidos audiovisuales en máxima calidad, accesibilidad y promoción turística.
